Connor's first lead became a full re-roof 8 days after going live

Connor went live with his own roofing ads for Blackburn and Burnley on 6 August 2026. Eight days later his first lead had become a full re-roof. By mid-September he'd confirmed two more jobs from the leads, a leak repair in Stockport and a new roof in Darwen.

The short answer: Connor, a roofer covering Blackburn and Burnley, went live on 6 August 2026. Eight days later his first lead had become a full re-roof, and he confirmed 3 jobs from the leads in his first 6 weeks. We didn’t review his lead app for that period, so there’s no count of replied leads.

Who is Connor and where does he work?

Connor is a roofer. His ads cover Blackburn and Burnley, and on 23 August he confirmed those were the two areas he had with us. The work he told us about in his first six weeks ran from a full re-roof to a leak repair in Stockport and a new roof in Darwen.

He came to us on a referral from another roofer. On the day he went live, he told us he already knew we were good because of who’d sent him.

What did we set up?

The standard Lead Wave setup, all done for him:

  • Facebook ads made for roofing, shown only to people in his patch.
  • A lead form where people tell him the job and their postcode before they hit send.
  • Every enquiry on his phone in the lead app, with the name, number and job.
  • An instant text to every lead within seconds, even when he’s up on a roof.
  • Follow-ups that keep going until people reply, then stop on their own.
  • His area kept for him. We don’t take on another roofer there.

We don’t publish the ad wording. His campaign went live at 15:11 on 6 August 2026, and Nick told him to expect leads within 24 hours.

What happened, week by week?

Date What happened
6 Aug 2026 Campaign live at 15:11
14 Aug 2026 Connor sends photos of a re-roof. Asked if it came off one of our leads, he says “Yes first one”
23 Aug 2026 Connor confirms his areas: Burnley and Blackburn
11 Sep 2026 A leak repair in Stockport, sorted with a 48-hour turnaround. Asked if it came off our leads: “Yep”
17 Sep 2026 Connor says he’ll send photos “of a project that came to a lead”. He’s still on the job
18 Sep 2026 The new roof in Darwen is finished

The first job was a full re-roof: new felt, new battens, new leadwork and new ridge tiles. That’s eight days after going live.

The Stockport job was a leak. The front of the roof was stripped, the damaged battens and water-stained felt came off, and it went back with new treated battens, breathable felt, a dry ridge system and dry verge caps.

The Darwen job was a new roof with a three-day turnaround. Extra support went into the rafters, the roof was done in lightweight composite slates with new breathable felt and a dry ridge kit, the chimney was re-flaunched and one chimney was removed.

What did the numbers look like?

Three jobs from the leads in six weeks, each one confirmed by Connor himself on WhatsApp. Nick asked him straight out whether the re-roof and the Stockport job came off our leads, and he said yes both times. For the Darwen roof he told us before we asked: it was “a project that came to a lead”.

What we can’t give you is a lead count. In our case studies a lead only counts when the person replied in the lead app, with their own message or by answering a call. No review of Connor’s lead app covers these six weeks, so we haven’t counted replied leads, visits or quotes, and we won’t guess at them. We also didn’t count jobs after 18 September. Three is the number he confirmed to us.

In Connor’s words

Yes first one

Connor, roofer, Blackburn · WhatsApp, 14 Aug 2026, 09:38

That was his reply when Nick asked whether the re-roof photos he’d just sent came off one of our leads.

… I’ve already been referred to you … so I know you’re good

Connor, roofer, Blackburn · WhatsApp, 6 Aug 2026, 15:10

He sent that a minute before his campaign went live, before he’d had a single enquiry.

What made the difference?

I can’t put it down to one thing, and without a review of his lead app I can’t show you the enquiries behind the jobs. What I can see from Connor’s messages is how he handled the work once it came in.

He turned jobs round quickly. The Stockport leak was sorted with a 48-hour turnaround and the Darwen roof was finished in three days.

He also fed his page. The day he confirmed his first job, he said he’d send pictures of most of the jobs linked to the leads to keep the page getting better. Photos of his own finished roofs give people something real to look at before they get in touch.

And we asked. Every time he sent photos of a job, Nick asked whether it came off our leads. That’s the only reason we can say three with any confidence.

What does this mean for a roofer in your area?

Don’t expect every first lead to be a full re-roof. Connor’s was, and that’s one roofer’s result. What it does show is that leads from your own Facebook ads can be big roofing jobs, and they can come early.

Around 80 leads a month is typical across our clients, and the first enquiries usually come in within 24 hours. What you make of them comes down to ringing back and doing the work well. To see what each job really costs you, put your own numbers into the cost per job calculator. For more on the ads themselves, read Facebook ads for roofers and how to get roofing leads.
